Winter Dry Skin

For Dry Skin - A few Home Remedies

The low humidity and harsh winter conditions can do a number on your skin, leaving the skin flaky, and itchy.
Here are a few precautionary measures:
  • Choose a lotion brand that has petroleum jelly or lanolin high on the ingredients list.
  • Try adding lemon juice or vinegar to bathwater. With soap, being highly alkaline, may make your skin feel itchy.
  • As soon as you get out of the shower or tub, while your skin is till damp, generously
    add on the moisturizing lotion.
  • Avoid steaming hot water or lengthy immersions, which will strip your skin of its natural oils.
  • Lastly, don’t go outside in any season without using SPF of at least 30 on your face and hands.
