Library Lover's Month

 


February is National Library Lovers' Month, a time to celebrate libraries' important role in our communities. Here are some ways to participate. 


Library Lovers' Month:

1.   Visit your local library: Take the opportunity to explore your local library and check out some new books or movies.


2.   Read a book: Pick up a new book or re-read an old favorite.


3.   Attend a library event: Many libraries host events and activities during Library Lovers' Month, such as book clubs, author visits, and workshops.


4.   Donate books: Consider donating gently used books to your local library or a literacy organization.


5.   Volunteer: Offer to volunteer at your local library, helping with tasks such as shelving books or assisting with events.


6.   Show your appreciation: Write a letter or email to your local library expressing appreciation for all the resources and services they provide.

Every day is a good time to honor the many African Americans who have made significant contributions to the development of the United States. Here are some ways to participate in Black History Month:


1.   Read books and watch films: Pick up a book or movie about African American history and

2.   Attend events: Many communities host events and activities during Black History Month, such as lectures, performances, and exhibitions.

3.   Visit museums: Take the opportunity with friends and family share the experience and visit a museum or cultural center that showcases African American history and culture.

4.   Support black-owned businesses: Look for opportunities to support black-owned businesses in your community, such as shopping at a black-owned bookstore or dining at a black-owned restaurant.

5. Educate yourself: Read about the history of African Americans and their enormous contributions to society.

6.   Celebrate black leaders: Learn about the lives and achievements of influential black leaders, such as Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, and Nelson Mandela.

A month, to raise awareness about the importance of oral care for pets. Here are some ways to participate in National Pet Dental Health Month:





1.   Schedule a dental exam: Take your pet to the vet for a dental checkup and cleaning.


2.   Brush your pet's teeth: Brush your pet's teeth regularly to help remove plaque and tartar, which can lead to gum disease and other oral health problems.


3.   Offer dental chews: Give your pet dental chews and toys designed to clean teeth and massage gums.


4.   Switch to a dental-friendly diet: Choose pet food and treats specifically formulated to support dental health.


5.   Avoid giving table scraps: Table scraps can contribute to plaque build-up and other oral health issues, so avoid giving them to your pet.


6.   Educate others: Share information about pet dental health with friends, family, and other pet owners, encouraging them to protect their pet's oral health.
