Give Yourself Permission to Change
You are allowed to
change your mind.
You are allowed to
change direction.
You are allowed to
discover new interests.
You are allowed to
establish boundaries.
You are allowed to want
something different.
And you are allowed to
become someone you didn't expect to become.
Growth does not always
look dramatic.
Sometimes growth is
quieter.
It is saying, “I
don't want to live that way anymore.”
It is choosing peace
instead of an argument.
It is learning to say
no without guilt.
It is taking care of
yourself without apologizing.
It is realizing that
you don't have to explain every decision you make.
And sometimes growth is
simply waking up one morning and realizing:
“I am not
the person I used to be—and that's okay.”
Change
Can Be Beautiful
October teaches us
something important:
There can
be beauty in transition.
The tree doesn't stop
being beautiful because its leaves are changing.
In fact, for a brief
and breathtaking season, the change makes it even more beautiful.
Perhaps the same can be
true for us.
Our changing lives can
still be beautiful.
Our changing dreams can
still matter.
Our changing
relationships can still hold meaning.
And the person we are
becoming can be just as worthy of love and appreciation as the person we once
were.
October Reflection
As you move through
this month, ask yourself:
What is
changing in my life?
Am I resisting the
change or allowing myself to understand it?
What am I ready to
release?
What am I learning
about myself?
What new possibility
might this change be creating?
You don't have to have
all the answers.
Sometimes we simply
need enough courage to take the next step.
